Watch Out For This Widespread Major Sin

One of the most widespread major sins is feeling safe from Allah's punishment and not fearing Him.

Many Muslims live as if they are guaranteed Paradise.

They indulge in sin after sin and still feel secure from any punishment.

Verily this type of mindset is dangerous and will cause a person to continue sinning.

That's why Allah has called those who feel secure from Him losers.

Allah the Almighty said:

"Or did the people of the cities feel secure from Our Punishment coming to them in the morning while they were at play? Did they feel secure from Allah's plan? None can feel secure from Allah's plan except the people who are losers." (Quran 7:98-99)

Fear of Allah is obligatory for everyone. No one can be guaranteed safety from Allah's punishment except by fearing Him.

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

"Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, says: 'By My might, I will not let My servant suffer from fear in two realms or feel safe in two realms. If he feels safe from Me in this world, I will make him feel fear on the Day of Resurrection, but if he fears Me in this world, I will make him feel safe on the Day of Resurrection.'" (al-Saheeha 742)

So if you fear Allah in this world, He will give you safety on the Day man will be in extreme fear.
